Life has a way of inflicting wounds. Words, actions, abuse, divorce, sickness and loss can leave us devastated, and heart broken. Without intervention, we can carry wounds, for years, and not know it. Yet, we act in ways that we do not understand. Why are we angry, bitter, feeling depressed, co-dependent, have low self-esteem, struggling with addiction, critical of others, walk in a spirit of rejection, cannot trust, or refuse to let people get close to us? Maybe, our spirit has been wounded. I suffered from a wounded spirit that began in my childhood. Actions and words that seemed harmless, penetrated my heart and left wounds that carried over into adulthood. By God's grace, I am overcoming my wounds, by identifying where I am wounded and allowing Him to bring healing to those areas. Healing Our Wounded is a platform, designed to bring Hope, Healing and Restoration to those whose spirits have been wounded. Healing is a journey, but together, we can reach our destination.

HEALING WORD OF THE WEEK

1 ThessAlonians 5:8

The correct response to every situation is praise. Is thanking God always easy? No. Some situations are so difficult that praise is the last thing we want to do. But if God is the object of our affection in the good times, He must also be the object of our affection in the bad times. If we can muster up the strength to for real praise Him, it may not change the situation, but it will change our perspective. My prayer is "Holy Spirit help us to respond with praise. We can't do it on our own but you are a very present help. In Jesus name Amen"
